Airbus Needs to Deliver 323 Aircraft in Three Months to Meet Annual Target

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has reaffirmed its target of delivering approximately 870 commercial aircraft by the end of 2026. However, to achieve this goal, the company must deliver 323 aircraft in the final three months of the year, equivalent to an average of approximately 108 aircraft per month.
Airbus delivered a total of 547 aircraft to customers during the first nine months of 2026. These deliveries included 428 aircraft from the A320 Family, 68 A220s, 13 A330s, and 38 A350s.
The company’s commercial aircraft order backlog has reached 9,310 aircraft. Airbus faces significant challenges in increasing production capacity to meet growing demand while ensuring the timely supply of engines and other critical components from its suppliers.
Achieving the annual delivery target of 870 aircraft will require Airbus to significantly accelerate its production and delivery operations during the final quarter of 2026.
